Oh, that looks yummy...

So, as many of you know...I'm 100%, totally & completely ADDICTED to Pinterest!  The recipes, crafts, DIY stuff and home decor tips that you can find on that website are amazing!  While I love the site and am on it all the time, I haven't taken the time to actually try some of the things that I've pinned.  Well, this last Tuesday, I decided to test one of them out.
While I was browsing through the millions of 'Food & Drink' pins, I found this chicken-crescent roll-cheesey-amazingness recipe!  You can find the link to deliciousness here. The Cowboy & I liked the casserole, but I think that the next time I make it, I'll add some green chiles.  It needed a little extra kick.

The sauce to go over the top and underneath the crescent rolls

The beginning of the filling

 Choppin' the chicken
...gotta figure out how to rotate pictures..

CHEESE! SO MUCH CHEEEESE!

Completed Filing

Stuffing the crescent rolls

Base layer of sauce

Added the crescent rolls and spread extra sauce over the top

Ready to bake

Yum!

The recipe was very good, but like I said...it was missing a little zing...so some green chiles might add a little extra flavor.  Cowboy suggested some bacon bits as well.  Ohhh the possibilities!

The world of blogging...

"Hi!"...that's as much as I've got.  I have no idea how to start this thing.  Do I crack a joke?  Do I introduce myself as if this was a boring 'Get to Know Me' essay? Do I launch right into my first entry?  How about a mixture of all three?
I hadn't ever thought of myself as the 'blogging' type, but the more that I faithfully read other people's entries, I thought I'd give it a whirl.  I'm really not sure what types of things I'm going to write about, but I'm looking forward to figuring that out as I go.

    A few things to know:

  • I married my best friend on January 28th, 2012.  He's absolutely wonderful!  I have a multitude of nick-names for him, all of which I'm sure you'll see in this blog ;) We bought our first house in October, and we're having a blast turning it into our home.

  • I'm currently a student at the University of Oregon, studying to get my Masters Degree in elementary education. I also earned my Bachelor's Degree from the UO.  Go Ducks!
  • I absolutely LOVE the Lord.  I was born again in April 2010, and my life has been amazing ever since.  The Husby (see...those nick-names) and I are members of a wonderful New Testament Church and we're so thankful, and humbled, to be able to serve the Lord in the way that He would have us to.

  • I love to bake desserts, decorate cakes, cross stitch, paint, cook and do other general artsy-crafty things :)

  •  ...oh, and I'm addicted to Pinterest  ;)
